What's the best way for a Columbian Family living in the US to immigrate to Canada? US declined their Visa and they need to leave the states. They have no family members in Canada and don't know anyone out there. Any suggestions helpful?

  1. A co-worker of mine just did this because her Peruvian husband who had been living in the U.S. (illegally) since he was 13 was getting hassled by INS.

It took a very long time and was very expensive.  You will almost certainly have to hire an immigration attorney who specializes in Canada.  They can give you an idea of how likely and how expensive it would be to be allowed to live in Canada.

  2. you have to apply for visa first.you can't even enter canada without it.

  3. the official site for canadian immigration is

    http://www.cic.gc.ca/

without family to sponsor or $200K to invest here under the "entepreneur class" the only way in is as a "skilled worker" there is an on-line test under that section to see if they qualify on points but even if that is a long wait... couple of years.  They probably cant wait for that

If going back to columbia is a danger to them or family member maybe they can apply to stay in the US as a refugee but because your already in a "safe" country they cant apply to Canada under that route.
