  1. Victoria British Columbia - I've been there - it's GORGEOUS and its very quaint and nice....

  2. What do you mean "small town"?  I grew up in a town with 300 people - are you thinking something like that?

I live, and love living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  Saskatoon has a population of under 250,000.  It is a fairly big city (by our standards in Saskatchewan) with a small town feel.  One of the things I like best about Saskatoon is we don't have huge skyscrapers, you can actually see the sky!!

My husband moved to Saskatoon 1 1/2 years ago from Bromsgrove/Birmingham.  He loves it here and cannot imagine living anywhere else.

    Try www.saskatoon.ca

  3. It is great that you want to come to my country, Canada, BUT , first you will have to be able to prove that the two of you are going to be able to bring needed work skills and education with you.

By that I mean that you will be scored on your formal education levels  and practical working history. Canada is looking for people who have actual working ability, coupled with either a University degree or a trades qualfication certificate like a plumber, carpenter, machinist, welder, electrician or engine mechanic for trucks or cars.

You will have to apply to be considered as an immigrant family. Only after your application has  been  approved, can you come to  Canada, to seek work  You will notice that I said  that both of you are going to be scored. It is normal for both parents in Canada to work full time

I would STRONGLY suggest that that you come to  Canada, for a visit, to see the place for your self. UK citizens may VISIT Canada for up to 6 months, without a visa. BUT you can't work here as a vistor.

Here is the main  Government of Canada information website for Immigration to Canada.

READ it thru completely, and SAVE it on your computer for future refference.

  4. R U sure ull get better life for ur little boy. At what cost

  5. Hi Lisa!

My hubby and I moved to BC from South Africa in 94. Never looked back. We lived for 12 years in Pemberton, which is about 2 hours' drive north of Vancouver. Town of about 1500-2000 people. Gorgeous! We now in Panorama, near Invermere, which is in BC but closer to Calgary than Vancouver! Love the small town (resort!) lifestyle in BC!

But if you're not ready for the drawbacks, it could be tough on you! Often you have to drive at least 30 min's to get a decent grocery store and halfway decent prices. But most places these days have good internet coverage, so you won't ever feel cut off ... I chat with my family in South Africa, the lower mainland of BC, and in Alberta, every day via Skype and don't feel isolated at all!

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Good luck with the move! Canada's a great choice!
