If my boyfriend obtains a fiance visa and comes to the US to marry and then applies for adjustment of status- what documents will he need? Do they all need to be translated in English (such as his birth certificate?)

  1. He will need the following documentation: Birth certificate, passport, I-94, K1 visa, a police clearance form from every country he has lived in for 6 months or more since the age of 18. It is also advisable that he gets his vaccination records from his doctor, this will save him from having any repeat vaccinations.

Yes, all documents which are not in English, need to be translated. The translation can be done by anyone who speaks both Dutch and English, see the link below for more information about translation of documents.

It is also advisable to get 10-20 copies of everything, you know when you may need them and it will save you time getting them done later. Don't forget he will also need passport photos of himself, get about 10-15 of those done, he will need them.
