PLEASE HELP!!

I have a good friend who has been in the US for 15 years illegallyy. He got married 10 years ago with a US CITIZEN and has 3 kids born here. ICE is now looking to deport him. They come to his home at every hour of the day and night, he can't get out of his home because he is scared. Can they really deport him if he has been married for 10 years and has kids here? Are they allowed to break up a family like that?

If anyone knows what is best for him to do, or maybe knows a good website that provides information regarding immigrant's rights, etc. I would really appreciate the info!!

Your feedback is appreciated!

  1. Yes,they can deport him. Being married to a citizen and having children does not change the fact that he is living here illegally.

I would almost bet that they are looking for him for other reasons beside the fact of him being here illegally. ICE does not generally go after an individual with as much force as you say they are using without there being another reason. He more than likely is wanted for a crime.

As far as rights,he doesn't really have many being that he isn't a lawful resident. You can contact an immigration lawyer, but it probably won't do much good. If ICE is that determined to find him, they will eventually.

His best option is to leave the country on his own before being deported.  It isn't the fault of the government if a family is broken up,it is the fault of the person breaking the law.He can always take his family with him to avoid being apart.

He should have filed for proper papers 10 years ago when he married a citizen.

  2. If ICE is actively seeking him, then he has been reported for being here illegally and likely has other charges against him.

He has a right to a hearing following detainment, then the right to be humanely deported.

He should have taken the proper steps to become legal.

  3. My boyfriend is an illegal mexican and i am a citizen.

if we want to get married, he has to go back to mexico, and prove his residency there, then the woman he wants to marry has to get a marriage certificate and he can then apply and easily recieve a visa, at which time he would cross legally and pay so much money and it takes between 3-7 years to become a citizen depending on your record and how long the background check conducted by the FBI takes.  that means even if he married her legally on a visa, it would still take him a few years to be a citizen, at which point he would have overstayed his visa and could also be deported.

im sorry to say that he can get deported.  this makes me want to cry because i always think about this hppening to my guy.  i love him and we cant afford to get married right now but we talk about it, an with kids that makes the situation scarier.

anything he can do is probably illegal.. leaving his home and abandoning his job, changing his name and purchasing a new fake social security card, withdraw his bank funds and startt over as if he just jumped the border.  but if he gets pulled over and they have his fingerprints on file, you better believ that your friends going back to mexico or wherever hes from because ive watched my man's best friends get deported within days for nothing at all.
