Don't we have enough paedophiles in Great Britain, without paying civil-servants to fly around the world trying to import them?

Is this TOTALLY INSANE, or am I missing a larger point somewhere?

  1. They shoudl leave him to rot at the airport.

  2. Yes one good shove out the plane would be a great idea while its flying over the ocean of course.

  3. Yes we have MORE than enough BUT, he is British and the responsibility of the British Government. It's their duty to protect our children from the likes of him , and those kids that are exploited for s*x in countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & Sri Lanka.

We as a nation have a duty of care to kids in those regions. All kids in fact. We have to reign him in and keep him under close scrutiny.

  4. He is a British citizen who may be a danger to himself and others at loose in the world. Here he will be monitored. It does make sense. And the officials were not flown out specifically, they are consulate staff.

  5. Had he been Austrian and caught in Britain everyone would be shouting at the authorities to send him back to his own country so with that in mind then he should return to his home country.

  6. Perhaps that is also what the countries on the recieving end of those people that actually do get deported from Britain think. They don't want their scum back either!

  7. No other country will take him, and apparently he is a british citizen.

  8. You are missing the larger point. It will be better for him to be here where he will be monitored to the highest degree (hopefully) rather than in some other third world country where he will be able to ply his evil trade on more innocent children.

  9. Why don't we just cut of his d**k and balls and tattoo PAEDOPHILE on his forehead.

  10. I believe the thinking, if that's the word, is that he is a danger to children overseas, places that may not be able to track him as well as they should be able to do here. Personally i hope the fecker dies sooner than later, and do everyone a favour

  11. The "larger point" is that he is a British citizen, and the only country in the world that has any responsibility for him is this one.

We do have the benefit of having the strongest child protection laws in the world, and, should he actually return, he would be monitored and supervised more thoroughly than anywhere else.

After all, the Vietnamese authorities knew all about his child pornography conviction in this country and his expulsion from Cambodia, but they didn't prevent him from, essentially, setting up home with underage girls.

I, for one, can quite understand why he might choose not to return, given the hysteria in the press and many of the anwers posted on this and other sites.

Having said that, I believe the right place for him is here, where that supervision and monitoring will take place, than in some other country where it is less certain.

Those who are baying for blood might (but I doubt it) like to reflect that he and his appearance are extremely well known, and, if there is anywhere in the world he can live without being allowed access to children, it is almoat certainly here.

There are several uncomfortable facts about this case, and one of them may well be that people feel his sentence was inadequate. The fact is that the sentence he got has been served, albeit with a few months off for "good behaviour", and he is now a free man. Hounding him and making threats against him can do no good whatever. Such actions can serve no useful purpose.

  12. The authorities want him back here because there are still several unanswered claims about him in UK & also because, once here, his passport will be taken away & he will be monitored.

  13. Glitter may be a pervert, but he aint stupid.
