  1. I'm pretty sure they will give you a chance to pay it again.  Read the instructions to the adjustment of status app. I read some of it and I couldn't find any info on that. Or just give uscis a call.  Don't press anything when you call them not even 1 for english.  It is horrible trying to get a hold of anyone there and that is the only I"ve found that gets someone...goodluck

    here's the instructions

  2. You should be stressed.  Contact your bank and ask them if they'll hold the check a day so that you can make a deposit to cover it.

  3. What you can do is make a deposit right away on your bank.It is in the instructions of the USCIS that in case the check payment will not be acknowledge by your bank (such as insuffecient funds), they will try to re deposit it again. They will only do 2 attempts. If you'll not be able to make it on time and the USCIS will close his case you may not have other choice but to refile and make sure this time you have enough funds to cover it.I would suggest too that you make an Infopass appointment and talk to somebody in the USCIS to advice you on what you can do.

  4. Make sure you have enough to cover the check and have the bank certify the check. The bank holds the money in escrow so USCIS knows they will get paid. It may cost a couple of dollars but...
