Immigration time for brother and sisters.?

How long does it take for a brother and sister to come over if a U.S. Citizen petitioned?

I've petitioned for my brother back 1998, but I have no idea when he will be notified that he will be eligible to immigrate to the United States. If anyone can help me, that'll be cool.

Citizenship?  The length of the waiting list depends on which country they are from.

At present it takes about 7 years. you might want to check on that! The processing dates are February 25, 2001 for Vermont and April 30, 2001 for California.
