Question:

Immigration to Australia as Dentist?

Dentisry is on MODL now, and if a dentist passed all Board exams set my ADC, Can he directly search for a job and work in Australia and apply while working for immigration or he got to lodge his immigration application and wait for another year or two to get his acceptance?

Second is there any chance after successfully passing all those exams that cost me (including the trip to Australia to sit for the clinical exam) more than 10000 US dollars to get a negative reply to my application?

Thank so much I appreciate all your help

  1. For immmigration to australia even in the in demand professions you need to either apply to emigrate permanently (which will make you a permanent resident).  Or you need to apply for a 457 sponsored working visa, which should be relatively easy in an in demand profession.

You will have to wait until you pass all the tests for immigration before you can apply to work in Australia.  So working towards it cannot count as time, they will just reject you if you don't meet the criteria.  The process doesn't take that long anyway.  A 457 temporary visa will only take a month or so, permanent residence will take longer.

Whilst getting ready get all your documents ready, thats what takes the time.  Birth certificate, qualification certificates, police check etc.  Most applications get held up because you forget to put something in!

As always they can still reject you, its an assessment process and they have the right to refuse you entry, so its always a risk.

  2. if u can get a work visa go ahead and then apply for immigration. Best luck
