Immigration to Canada or New Zealand?

Hi I would like some information from either a native of Canada and New Zealand on the following:-

I am thinking of immigrating to either place, i have 3 trades

1/ Electronics Enginneer(HF/VHF comms and specalist military equipment).

2/ Have work in the security industry for the last 12 years on all types of systems.

3/ Have a HGV1 licence and can drive most trucks.

I am not particulary bothered about which trade i use as i'm totally flexable, but would like a locals point of view about the best options. I already qualifly for a specalist visa( skilled worker) but would like some honest input other than an employment agency.

Can anyone help ??

thanks

  1. Are you prequalified because you have done the application and interview, or because the agency says so? The reason I ask is that even skilled people can be turned down if there isn't enough demand in their field and it can take more than a year to actually get immigration to Canada completed.
