I am planning to marry my fiance who is a native Scotsman. He lives in Shetland, Scotland. I am an American Citizen. I have two children, minors, and their fathers might cause an issue. Whats the best way to go about getting U.K. Citizenship and permanantly live in Scotland with my two sons and my fiance? I need the best advice I can get.

  3. well 1st i think that you will have to have your ex husband to agree that you are moving to europe and taking your children with you as well. If they are under aged offcorse- if not then he shouldnt be able to make that decetion for you guys.

When it comes to get UK ctiizenship and permanently live...you need to contackt the British embassy, go online and vissit www.ukembassy.uk or type in uk embassy in america.

There you'll fine all infomation about yur case .

But i mean, you can also go and vissit him 1st in Scottland, and during your stay, you should get married ... then you go back to americka and you sort out things about your ex and your children..and take it from there.

but the best way will probably be to contackt the british embassy and get more details and info
