  1. Colleges allow for religious or personal belief exemptions to vaccines.  Check your state's laws.  This link may have them.

Even if you don't want to get an exemption, (although I can't think why), the MMR booster is only required if you don't have proof of 2 MMR shots at any time during your life.  You can also get your blood tested for immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella. Usually the college only requires a second measles vaccine, but they say MMR because the measles normally is bundled with those other diseases in the vaccine.  But if it is only measles that is required, you'll only need to get your measles titer tested, and not mumps or rubella.  If you are found to be immune, that will also exempt you from the requirement.

I used to be very pro-vaccine before I started researching.  I blindly got the MMR booster and the tetanus shot during college, which I now regret.  Research the dangers of vaccines before you allow any more to be injected into your body.

  2. You have to have the  MMR booster before entering college. They won't even let you register for classes unless you get that shot and show proof you got it.

I am 31 years old and started back to a 4yr college last fall. I had to have the MMR booster too.
