Immunizations needed for mexico?

I'm going to the Veracruz state, Im going to be kayaking on the rivers there. And staying in sort of a low-end resort. http://www.aventurec.com/

Are there any pills/vaccines im going to need? I checked with my doctor but they havent gotten back to me yet, Just wondering if any one has any prior experience or advice.

  1. Although our vaccination system on children is different, you don't need special thing to come. The only difference (as far as I know) is that here in México we got vaccine against tuberculosis, while you don't. That is the reason mexicans ALWAYS give positive in skin test for tuberculosis (tuberculina), it doesn't mean we have tuberculosis, only that we have antibodies against it. Unfortunatelly not many doctors or people knows this fact.


  2. you dont need any but i would suggest tetinis or however you spell it

  3. None are required. Just make sure you are up to date if you feel unsafe. It's up to you.

  4. you will be fine...all vacines needed you already have had here in the usa...drink only bottled water....and brush your teeth with it also.....have fun

  5. hepatitis A, and tuberculosis. You probably won't get either, but you could.
