Imodium effects - how long do they last

how long do they last? i took two pills 48 hours ago and i still feel somewhat constipated

It is for diarrhea!!

No wonder you are still plugged.

That is way to long:normally they last a day and no longer.Next time use just one.

Guess they are to strong for you to take two.

Loperamide HCl (Imodium) works by slowing down your bowel muscles. You will feel constipated until you pass what's still lurking in there. Taking one pill would be in your best interest next time you need it. If you want to help your movements along, try drinking some grape juice (real grape juice, not a juice blend or juice drink), a stool softener, or other natural laxative.

In the future, you might want to consider using apples instead of imodium. Apples contain a substance called pectin, which is a natural binding (firming) agent. It would probably be more comfortable for you.
