  1. I think he'll be a very solid upgrade to Akin Ayodele.

He's been all over the field in preseason and seems to be playing with hunger. All in all I'd say he was a better pickup than Pacman.....unless he starts lighting it up on punt returns....

  2. Dallas' D will be vastly improved, but not just because of Thomas. Zach will help a little, but its their Cb situation that is really improved.

  3. I agree with most of the answers not much more to add geezgive was right on. But I would like to add that we know Zack is aware of of his health. And some would say why would he take a chance like that with his life surly its not the money ? we as fans LOVE the game it comes first in most of our lives, double that feeling for a player that has been there for a long time. He knows they can take him out feet first its his love for football that to him is his life and without it he is not alive anyways !!! So like geezgive I wish him the best in his endeavors and peace for his family because this is who will carry that heavy burden of worry..

  4. I think that Zach Thomas adds veteran leadership and solidifies the inside linebacker position

  5. The same amount of impact any 35 year old injury prone LB would have...minimal.  60 tackles 1 sack 0 INTs and he misses 4 games.

  6. He could have the same impact on Dallas that John Lynch had on the Patriots D! They cut him yesterday!

    LOL

  7. Zach is a 7 seven time pro bowler for a reason. He is one of the best middle linebackers in the game. If he can stay healthy look for 150 tackle season plus a few forced fumbles. He has great instincts getting to the ball and stopping a play dead. That defense is greatly improved because of Zach's toughness and leadership abilities to know what the offense is going to do. I'll predict that Zach makes his 8th pro bowl appearance this season.

  8. hes not concussion prone, he actually healed from that concussion fast and couldve have played the rest of the season with the dolphins and had another good one at that, but he got in a car accident and thought he suffered another concussion but was actually only sinus problems that he got fixed this summer

zach thomas impact for dallas indeed, look what he did for the dolphins even through the agony of losing

  9. ok. first of all zack WAS a great middle line backer. with the concussion problems he has had, hes one hit away from being a vegtable. second of all hes a MIDDLE LINEBACKER. hence he played in a 4-3 base defence his whole career. now he is moving to a 3-4 base defence where the backers must be quicker and more agile than in the 4-3. im not saying he wont contribute. but his skill set is better for a 4-3 defence than the 3-4. for him i wish him the best b/c playing at his age with multiple concussions could prove deadly
