Impact of films,music,tv,internet on society in el salvador?

Our society is greatly influenced by Hollywood and american culture in general. Music, like soccer is something that moves large segments of salvadoran society. Regarding TV, maybe telenovelas or soap operas influence middle and lower classes mostly. Films...? I guess we pay a lot of attention to american mainstream movies but don´t really care for independent films. Internet is still a growing trend. I dare to say we have very little salvadoran cultural expressions and events.
