Impacted Canines and Mallocussion

Question

I'm 14 years old and i got braces last week on my front 4 teeth and incisors. i have impacted canines that are in my palate and i had surgery to expose them in june. i can feel the teeth in the roof of my mouth. along with fixed braces last week i also received a functional brace to correct my overbite. any ideas on treatment times, objectives etc. going for adjustment in october.
