I got operated for teeth impaction 30 days ago.Got all the 4 teeth extracted under GA(all impacted).I still have stitches.

My problem is I have been in liquid diet for the past ! month.I am scared that the food particles might stuck inside.there a big hollow hole on both sides.I don't have any pain but I am just scared and weak now.

Can I start eating solid food??

CAn I eat chicken,mutton etc....

  1. Talk to your oral surgeon.  Am surprised about the hole you described . . that should not be the case.

Not sure if you had impacted wisdom teeth removed, or what the case was.

For me, two wks prior to the surgery I took 1000mg of Vit C every day to help in the healing and reduce bleeding; and the day following surgery I was eating fried chicken with no problems whatsoever.

So, if it's been a month since your surgery you should have been on solids a long time ago.

    See your doctor.

  2. Hello HOPE CAN SET YOU FREE,

Something is seriously wrong here; call your oral surgeon as soon as possible.

After a month, you should be back to normal, including your regular eating habits.

I had two done at a time and went back to work the next day; both times.

Also, normally the suture used after dental extraction absorbs into your body and do not have to be removed.

Have you even seen your doctor following surgery?

Get this checked out immediately; it's not normal.  Good luck to you.
