Impacted tooth exposure?

Question

So i recently got my braces off and had an impacted tooth. the dentist who did my braces turned out to be a very bad one because he did not mention doing anything about the tooth and planned on leaving it stuck in my gums and then placing an implant without removing that tooth. My question is, now that my braces are off, will i still be able to get an impacted tooth exposure procedure done without getting braces on my whole mouth again. Will the bracket be on only that one impacted tooth? How much does this procedure usually cost? How long will the whole process be (a couple weeks?months?) please tell me anything that will help!

i know it will be pretty expensive but i dont know about the braces part
