  1. use miracle grow

  2. The secret to good gardening is having PATIENCE!

Fertilize the plants but they won't be growing that much more within a two-week period.  Sometimes you can buy extra-large plants for your purpose.

  3. Impatiens like part shade and will look healthier and bushier (but they do take quite some time to fill in).  A sunny location and some fertilizer may make them grow faster (low nitrogen). Keep them watered.  I planted mine in the spring and they are just starting to bush up.  They must be called "impatien(ce)s" for a reason !!

  4. Water them with Miracle Grow or any general fertilizer once per week.

  5. They're call impatients for a reason.  Keep watered, dead-head and they will keep bloom.  They may not get as full as you want them to be because they are slow growers.  Buy another batch  so in two weeks they will have established themselves and have blooms.

Check for deadhead a few days before the party.
