Imperial Boy to pick up form for the Grade A1 500 metres flat race
Six probabilities have gathered for the Grade A1 500 metres flat on Monday, 8th October, 2012 at Nottingham over 500 metres flat. In keen pursuit of the £134 prize money are Romeo Academy, Ballymac Guitre, Siffleur, Kittys Pineapple, Imperial
Boy and Highclere Chief. The recent form of all the participating hounds is not encouraging, even of those who have progressed at the level previously.
Racing in red is, Romeo Academy, while breaking from the opposite end will be, Highclere Chief.
The former, D. Firmager trained, Romeo Academy, is racing out of a recent success at Grade A2.
The two-year-old brindle dog took 30.61 seconds to make it from the box to the wire. Racing out of the second stall, he defeated Fabulous Cyan by just half-length.
Surf Lorian’s son has the honour of landing the Grade OR Betfred Puppy Maiden Standard on 12th March, 2012 at Nottingham over 500 metres. Despite getting crowded after leashing out of the third trap, the two-year-old rushed in for the wire, and
could lead only when closing in on it.
He had the fate of the race settled in 30.96 seconds, defeating Thinkingoutloud by a length’s mark.
He is backed by 9 to 2 odds for tonight.
Another note worthy entry in the field is the three-year-old black dog, Imperial Boy. The P. White trained has enjoyed winning at several instances before, but for making any considerable impact tonight, he will need to swing back into form.
Westmead Joe’s three-year-old out of, Dukeries Lily, captured the £150 prize money of the Grade OR JC Steeles Supporting The RGT Dual Distance Trophy – Heat 1 on 10th September, 2012 at Nottingham over 500 metres.
Taking flight from the sixth trap always stayed prominent in the middle of the track and concluded the race in 29.83 seconds. Winning by the margin of 1 ¼ lengths, he defeated Boherna Bridge.
He has been allotted the fifth trap for tonight and the number has not glistened much on his profile as nailing the race after exiting from it has always been impossible.
He is supported by 11 to 2 odds.
