I think here you used the word imperialism, only in terms of India, not in general terms. Beacuase in general terms, imperialism can never be good for any country.

In ref. to India, yes, this statement is partly correct. British brought with them certain new technologies and ideas. But these ideas, concepts, technologies and innovations were introduced in India only for the interest of british people and Britain not for India's well-being.

You assume that modern technology is always beneficial.

I would disagree.  

Imperialism destroyed existing infrastructure, enslaved people, displaced governments, disrupted traditions, etc, etc, etc...

There really wasn't much good in Imperialism for anyone except the Imperialists.

SO WHAT IF THEY BROUGHT.

THEY KILLED THE NATIVE PEOPLE WITH THAT TECHNOLOGY LIKE WITH GUNS ABD CANONS.

WITH THAT TECHNOLOGY THE BRITISH PEOPLE WERE THE ONES WHO GOT A LOT OF BENEFIT.

WITH THE HELP OF THAT TECHNOLOGY THEY CONTROL THE OTHER NATIONS.
