Question:

Implantation Bleeding or Spotting?

I am wondering if anyone knows a good time frame for implantation bleeding or spotting. I have done a bit of research and have come up with many different answers ranging from 8-14 days and this one from another Y!A:

'Therefore, implantation bleeding usually happens somewhere 19-25 days '

This makes a huge difference for me because at day 23 after intercourse I experienced spotting and I am wondering if it could possibly have been implantation bleeding (ohh please say yes lol that would make my day! lmao!)

Thank in advance!

  1. i would say so... but obviously i can't say "yes" as i dont know your body as well as you do.

i wish you all the best and good luck :)

  2. it does sound like it could be, but all you can do is take a test, i would leave it 3 or 4 days after the spotting as if it was implantation it would give your hcg levels enough time to rise and get a accurate answer, good luck

  3. 23 days after intercourse? Are you late on your period or do you have a long cycle? I ask because in a regular 28 day cycle you're fertile roughly in the middle (14th day) and then are due on again 14 days after that... if you're 23 days past your fertile days then maybe a pregnancy test is in order??? Either that or you were having s*x during your (for most) non-fertile period.

I read that implantation bleeding usually happens 8-14 days past ovulation, with day 14 usually falling on or near your period due date. Others don't have it at all - I didn't have it with either of mine. Fingers crossed.

Just read your additional info - if in doubt then go to the docs and ask for a scan - an internal one might show up something if over 4/5 weeks. Doesn't hurt to ask.
