Implantation bleeding but negative test.

Question

I may have experienced implantation bleeding yesterday as it is exactly 9 days since ovulation and had a light brown dishcharge when I wipe. My period is not due for another week. I took a HPT test today but it says negative. Is it too soon to get a positive or does this mean I'm not pregnant?

if your period isn't due for another week then the hpt would not be accurate, its most accurate the day you miss your period, or at the earliest the day before

I think you should wait a couple more weeks sweetie. Good Luck.  and not only that, but if it was a brownish discharge it is most likely old blood from your period that comes out after s*x. happened to me before.

Implantation bleeding is not as common as people think it is.  Plus I believe it would be too soon for the egg to have implanted.  From what you are saying I think it is too early for a pregnancy test.  Your hormone levels would be too low to be detected.  Wait until the day your period is due and if you don't get it, test on that day.

HCG start growing only after implantation so if you implanted yesterday (if indeed that is what the bleeding is for), then you really must give your body more time to produce HCG. HCG starts of miniscule and then doubles every 2 days (or so) so even if you implanted yday, you have to wait for your HCG to be high enough to be seen on a HPT. So you could still be pregnant! its too soon!!!give it another week and take a test then.. but implanation bleeding usually happens after the date of missed period...so you might wanna seek professional advice..and johnny is an idiot..
