Importance of the atmosphere

Question

Could you give me some uses of the following

1.Oxygen

2.Nitrogen

3.Carbon DiOxide

4.Water Vapour(or vapor)

5.Ozone

6.The atmosphere in general

I know quite a few basic ones, but anything will be great.

v need rain.............dont v???

protects us from harmful ultra violet rays & infra red rays

all of above+

controls heat

checks rain & seasons etc........

1 U need it to live.

2 It is to keep the oxygen at a right level.

3 Is needed for the plants to recycle CO2 into O2.

4 it is needed to be comfortible breathing. Without moisture the noose gets very dry.

5 Ozone. The one the weather man reports on is not ozone but NO2 . True ozone is O3 about 150 miles up where the solar winds collide with the earth's magnetic field. Nothing else gets that high..
