  1. 1702 - In March, Queen Anne ascends the English throne. In May, England declares war on France after the death of the King of Spain, Charles II, to stop the union of France and Spain. This War of the Spanish Succession is called Queen Anne's War in the colonies, where the English and American colonists will battle the French, their Native American allies, and the Spanish for the next eleven years.

1755 - In February, English General Edward Braddock arrives in Virginia with two regiments of English troops. Gen. Braddock assumes the post of commander in chief of all English forces in America. In April, Gen. Braddock and Lt. Col. George Washington set out with nearly 2000 men to battle the French in the Ohio territory. In July, a force of about 900 French and Indians defeat those English forces. Braddock is mortally wounded. Massachusetts Governor William Shirley then becomes the new commander in chief.

1756 - England declares war on France, as the French and Indian War in the colonies now spreads to Europe.

1763 - The French and Indian War, known in Europe as the Seven Year's War, ends with the Treaty of Paris. Under the treaty, France gives England all French territory east of the Mississippi River, except New Orleans. The Spanish give up east and west Florida to the English in return for Cuba.

    (1775–1783) - Revolutionary War

1800:  Act of Union formally assimilated Ireland within the British political process and from 1 January 1801 created a new state called the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, which united the Kingdom of Great Britain with the Kingdom of Ireland to form a single political entity.

Edit to I am Right:  Not sure how American events could classify as British?

It is US history - not UK - the US turned up very late, didn't get involved, were rubbish when they did, but the sheer numbers of them scared the Germans into giving up - so freakin what - it's not UK history.

  4. The date May 7, 1915 which is when the Lusitania was sunk by a German submarine.  This action aided in getting the US to join the allies in WW One.  Had the US not eventually joined the allies Germany would have won WW One.  The French and British begged the US to join their side admitting that they were beaten by the Germans (who already had forced Russia into a very favorable surrender to Germany giving up huge areas to Germany including the Ukraine) and the only way they could avoid surrender was to get the US on their side.  They were out of money and soldiers to continue fighting.  The true history of this sinking was not revealed until well after WW 2 .  On board this "civilian" ship were over 1800 Canadian soldiers as well as numerous armaments.  The reason so many people lost their lives was due to the fact that the life boats were not on board as room was needed for the troops and the weapons.  The American public (as always ie Iraq WMD's) fell for it hook line and sinker and supported joining the allies.  Had the truth been told the US would have remained neutral or even joined Germany's side.

  5. To many to list ,but memo to' I am  right 'in a word nooooo.your not

My God are all Americans as as stupid as you when it comes to there historyI doubt it ,you must be uniquely stupid. How can anyone so badly misinterptret an event in history

It is common knowledge that the sinking helped lead the US into the First World War.

    I  Agree

and save the British from certain defeat?? What proof do you have for this(note I said proof not evidence  as you said certain defeat not possible defeat)

you don't like being called stupid ,then don't read ideas ,decide which one you like the best and put it forward as fact
