  1. Most colleges really don't care.  They mostly look at the grades, recommendations, etc for that person and if they are qualified for the school.  Many times you can just put other, or refuse to answer that question

  2. Well, first of all why would you want to put that you were hispanic if you're indian?  you'd be better off indian for affirmative action!

no they would probably never know, although it is possible when you or your parents fill out later forms they would question it when there is a discrepancy, although they would probably just figure you are from a blended cultural background.  so i guess really it wouldn't matter.

  3. yea u can lie on your application. they never see you so you can check whatever ethnic box you choose

  4. I checked I was a Belgian and got admitted to some secret club. It was great. I met lots of women who knew French and got a lot of wine to drink. Tell them whatever. it worked for me!

  5. Yes a person could do that but why?  People have also answered "I do not care to answer" to ethnicity questions.  During an entrance interview the college person will have an idea of the applicant's heritage and may well ask the applicant why he/she doesn't want to answer.  It is best for anyone to be proud of their background anyway.  But yes, a person can answer wrongfully which may increase the chances of not being accepted into that college.
