Important!!! dancers please read!!!!!!?

Question

Ok, I wanted to take a fall class for jazz.

Specifically, what type of dance is jazz and what do you do/listen to. Is it worth it?

jazz can also be classed as rock'n'roll

as in old style rock and roll

((NOT ROCK MUSIC))

i personally do not enjoy teh dance style

however that does not mean you should not try it

its quite up beat and can be quite a laugh to try

jazz is a much looser version of ballet.  But, lyrical and contemporary are closer related to ballet than jazz.  Jazz has to do with moving your body to the music, either to the beat of the song or the lyrics. ((the music can be pretty modern or just fun music you would dance to at a party or something)) I would say jazz is the dancing between hip-hop and ballet.  I love jazz its very fun to dance to and you always get very into the music.  

Some examples of good jazz songs are-

A Place Like This by CeCe Winans

Hip Hip Chin Chin ((yaziko club mix)) by Club Des Bellugas

both are great examples of jazz songs that you really get into.  Jazz is so much fun I greatly encourage you to take it this fall.
