  1. Probably. The ones I've seen at Wal-Mart are steel (or worse, an aluminum alloy) instead of titanium. They're also going to have inferior quality shafts.

If you want to save some money, get your clubs from a legitimate seller on Ebay. I use StealGolf.Com ( http://www.stealgolf.com ) to help me sort out stuff by manufacturer and model.

  2. I think what your asking is what's the difference or why is there a difference. First off if you look at the drivers in wal-mart, they almost ALL are offset. This is good if your first starting out if you just want to hit it straight, HOWEVER it teaches your HORRIBLE habits and i do not recommend it if you want to get good. Also the type of metal they use does not support the "trampoline" effect. this is where the ball spring boards (like a trampoline) off of the club head. Also the shaft usually has no torque to it and is fairly stiff. All around they are not good for distance. Hope this helps. Keep it in the short grass!

  3. ABSOLUTELY!!!

I just bought the Cleveland Hi-Bore XL.  It is so much better than my Wilson Firestick driver that I had.  Also, I noticed that when I borowed my friends big birtha 2004 irons, I also hit those further and farther than my Wilson irons (but I can't spend 700 on new irons just yet.)

  4. I actually experimented with that.  I bought a Hornet from Wal Mart and hit a bucket of balls with that club.  I lost about 35 yards total distance.  I hit about 285 with my FT-5, so I am not particularly long, but the Hornet only went about 250, still not a bad distance, but not as good as a name brand, full of technology club!

  5. You can notice a difference in both quality and performance, more so with quality though. You are much better off hitting some used clubs at a golf shop and picking up something you like there. You're much less likely to buy junk there.

  6. If you are serious about golf, you should get yourself a decent set.  It can be a 2nd hand set, but needs to a decent quality.  Check on ebay, local classified, or go to a country club and see if they have for sale postings.  You can also check golfsmith.  They have used sets both in store and online.  The name brands are a safe bet.

  7. yes buy them at goodwill they hit far from there good luck power swinger
