  1. how old are you, why do you need their approval. must know what the reason being their disapproval

  2. Part of growing up is coming to terms with the fact that you can't please everybody. In this case, either your girlfriend or your parents will be unhappy whatever you do - and that means you'll not be entirely happy whatever you do.

With that kind of no-win situation, only you can decide what is right for you. If it was me, I'd pray to my Higher Power for guidance... only you can decide on what basis to make this decision. Welcome to adulthood ;-)

    Good luck!

  3. Follow your heart.

  4. Why don't they accept the relationship? Maybe their harsh feelings toward Sally are misconceptions or false judgments. If you can understand why your parents don't think you two are a good match, that will make it easier for you to decide (hopefully).

I wouldn't try to convince your parents that Sally is right for you. If they don't accept her now, they probably won't later. I would decide if there was anyway to compromise. Your parents can't physically make you stay away from her, short from locking you up in your room.  Be honest to them. Say, " Mom, Dad, I'm sorry that you don't like Sally. But I love her, and we have a wonderful relationship. *insert reasons why you and Sally are good together and why you don't want to break up*. I love you both, but I don't want to sacrifice this source of happiness."

I would suggest asking Sally, you never know, she may have some good ideas too!

  5. do what you think is right and not what feels good.!!
