  1. if you want durability with your strings, i suggest stringing with a hybrid.  (2 differant pieces of string).  For control i suggest stringing at the higher end of the range if u are only using one piece.  If u are using a hybrid, i suggest using a spin string such as luxilon big banger alu power rough on the mains (vertical strings) strung somewhere around 58.  ON the crosses you should use a synthetic gut strung 4lbs heavier.  As long as it is strung tight you will get control.  the looser it is the more power you get.  Im a national tournament player and i string at 56 and 60.

  2. Whatever the recommended string tension range (probably between 45-65 lbs) is for that racquet, you should string it at the high end.

  3. You're asking about tension?  Okay.  If you want to minimize the power of the racquet, string at the upper end of its tension range.  If you give that a try, and you still want more control, it doesn't hurt to string a couple lbs above the max of the tension range.  Now, doing so will void your warranty with many brands, and I don't guarantee that no damage will be done.  But I know that people do it all the time and don't have problems with it.  Just don't go stringing 5-10 lbs or more over the tension range.

Some people will say that you should string looser for more spin, but tension doesn't really have much effect on spin potential at all.  That comes more from how dense your string pattern is, and you can't change that.  If you do want a little more spin potential, then get textured stings.

  4. Combine a different higher tension weight and use natural gut mixed in. Do what Joel said. All tips here are good to consider.
