  1. iPhone only can support mp4 or h.264 format, you must make sure the video is mp4 format for iPhone. If not, you need try some third party software such as Cucusoft DVD to iPhone Video Suite to rip DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPhone, it works great for me.

You can download this software free from here

  2. Yep!

The easiest way I found is to use this program "DVD Fab Mobile" It does cost money however, but there is a free trial at http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm which you can try if you would like.

The restricted "free" version does not expire, but it can't convert directly to iPhone/iPod touch format.

After it is in iPhone format (whichever way you choose to do so several exist), you add it to your itunes library and sync it.

Using a program like Super will probably also work, but that one is really complicated with it's 10,000,000 options. But it is free free. You will need to choose the codec type and size manually however.

  3. iPod only accepts MP4 video format, and if you want get the movies from a DVD, you need a DVD Converter software.
