Impressed with Sarah Palin's record holding down taxes in Alaska?

...in spite of the fact she has been governor less than 2 years? Well, think again. Alaska is a fully owned subsidiary of the oil and gas industry. All Palin had to do was stay out of the way and cash the checks.

What record? 18 months? She is mostly liked there for going after crooked Republicans. I lived in Alaska...they like "red meat"!

They are also experiencing an economic downturn so many want to see an economic boom like there would be if they build another big pipeline which she supports. I guarantee the pro-environment people will spend every last cent  they have to campaign against her!

I also guarantee that pro-choice groups are already meeting and planning strategy even though it is a holiday weekend.

But on the bright side for McCain, I think he can expect at least another couple million for his campaign coffers.

Boy, won't she make a great Commander in Chief? If she is made President by an health problem of McCain that would ensure the neocons keeping control of the White House. Cheney would only have to move down the hall...she would be so easily controlled by them.

Guess again.  Palin beat her opponent who was a favorite of the oil giants.  They couldn't' keep him in office, but they did have a plan to try and get him re-elected with their "donations".  Big oil may influence the state, but Palin has done her share of taking on the giants and winning.  She has cleaned up corruption in the GOP in Alaska too.  

Palin didn't want the bridge to nowhere - she nixed it as a wasteful pork-barrel spending project.

I don't think you will find dirt on this woman.  Keep trying though.

Not really. She went head on against the oil Co. She also took upon herself to eliminate the fed tax on gas for a whole entire year. have you sen ANY other governor do that? She took on many politicians even from her own party and made them pay for unethical politics. She has definitely turned the page by wanting to build the pipeline to supply natural gas to the entire US continent. Those are real facts and all turned into actions that worked ... as oppose to all the talk with no action we heard over and over from everybody else.

At least SHE's done something ... in fact much more in two years than anybody else in the many years they had in office.

NOTE: she was one of the few against the building of the bridge and called it a wastefully spending. and please Who told you Alaskan get a check from the oil co??? Paline is the one who wasn't to tax the oil co to get her constituent a check of 1,200 to eliminate the burden of gas prices. YOu say they get help and money from the Oil co ... is that why gasoline is almost 6 bucks a gallon in Alaska? you make no sense.

you know what else we get up here this year? we get the oil money, and we get an addition 1200 a person (including our children), thats what makes us happier because gas up here is higher than what you pay

Yes - Palin is a Great choice and she will make a Wonderful VP (and future President)! It just goes to show that McCain is a true maverick & genius who picks likewise!  

She also has the record of the most beloved Governor in the US by her state (Alaska), has actually been leading people for the past several years while Obama & Biden have been leading NO one, shelved her state's pork-laden Bridge to Nowhere that McCain has ridiculed on the trail, will join McCain in fighting hard against earmarks, is about as far outside the Beltway as you can get, ran on the agenda of stopping wasteful gov't spending,  is for a strong US defense, and is a small business owner and a lifetime NRA member.

All in all, she's a truly fine leader, citizen and patriot - who truly represents Americana (Motherhood & Apple pie)!
