Impressive performances at the 2011 Sette Colli Trophy Meet
The Sette Colli Trophy 2011 meet ended with many impressive performances of swimmers in Rome, Italy. In the Men’s 200m back-stroke finale, Radoslaw Kawecki captured the golden crown with a fastest time of 1 minute and 58.32 seconds, as Sebastiano Ranfagni
settled for silver with a time of 1 minute and 58.83 seconds. Snaring bronze in following meet was Nick Driebergen with a time of 1 minute and 59.78 seconds.
Secondly, Elizabeth Simmonds took home the Women’s 200m back-stroke crown with a victorious time of 2 minutes and 08.26 and moved into top spot in the world rankings. Placed second in the Women’s 200m back-stroke finale was Kirsty Coventry with a winning
time of 2 minutes and 09.59 seconds for her 7th spot, and Jenny Mensing wound up third in 2 minutes and 11.24 seconds for her 20th position in the world rankings.
In the Women’s 200m breast-stroke finale, Rikke Moller Pedersen snared the golden crown with a sterling time of 2 minutes and 26.20 seconds, while Chiara Boggiatto nabbed silver in 2 minutes and 28.38 seconds. Alia Atkinson wound up third in a time of 2
minutes and 29.57 seconds. Placed fourth in the following event was Jenna Laukkanen with a time of 2 minutes and 29.89 seconds.
On the other hand, the Women’s 200m Individual Medley crown was taken over by Coventry with a winning time of 2 minutes and 11.81 seconds. The effort also moved her into 7th spot in the international swimming rankings. Meanwhile, Evelyn Verraszto
took home silver title with a time of 2:13.70 and Kathryn Meaklim earned third place honours with a time of 2 minutes and 14.98 seconds.
In the Men’s 50m butterfly finale, Roland Schoeman picked up the top seed with a fastest time of 23.60 seconds. Securing second spot in the respective race was Rafael Munoz with a time of 23.66 seconds and Cavic wound up third in a time of 23.68 seconds.
Additionally, Alshammar snagged the Women’s 50m butterfly crown with a distinctive time of 25.37 seconds, while Veldhuis surprisingly finished fifth in a time of 26.38 seconds. Moreover, Federica Pellegrini nabbed the Women’s 200m freestyle title with a
victorious time of 1 minute and 56.85 seconds, while Filippo Magnini clinched the Men’s 100m freestyle crown with a sterling time of 49.27 seconds. Verraszto took home the title in the Men’s 200m IM with a time of 2 minutes and 00.31 seconds.
