1. One really good way to help with your endurance and your abillity to sprint the last 100 meters in the mile is by doing a mile long indian run. And indian run is when you get about five people is a spread out line and start jogging. and the person at the end of the line has to sprint to the front. It really helped me with my mile time. I'm only 13 and I run a 5:19 mile now. good luck though.

  2. if you run 3 miles in practice..now run 5..if u do 5..now do 7

  3. the best way to improve your mile time is doing a 400 workout, do 6-10 400s. Once you finish one, don't stop, just jog 400m inbetween each one, don't stop at all though, one you jog the 400, jog to the starting line then go, make it continuous.

  4. Break down your splits needed for the time you want.(5:54) have your coach or a teammate time your race.and give you hand signals at every 200 either:

    1. speed up

    2. slow down

    3. stay the same

    and run EVEN splits.

I think you can do it
