Improving my baseball swing?

Whenever I play baseball, my swing is always different. I have a different batting stance nearly every at-bat, and I can't find one that is comfortable to me. How can I fix this problem?

  1. Spend a lot of time in front of a tee, in the cages, or soft tossing...

Your best bet is to worth with hitting coach or somebody who can look at your type of swing and style...to see what kind of stance can work for you and work within your comfort level.

Really, it's all about muscle memory and training your body to swing the same way through repetition. You can't expect your swing to be perfect and consistent over night....but it does help to find a comfortable stance that you can give you a routine, leading to consistent at bats.

  2. you have to have good hand eye  coordination and make sure the bat isn't to heavy or to light and hit the ball squared. first start off with a slow level swing then swing faster and time the ball right and when u get good at it u could uppercut swing to try and get it over the fences and that is basically it.

I saw this program in an ad on Sports Illustrated.com I decided to try it because i was having some problems with my swing. It was only 20 bux and it has everything you need to know for how to get your swing to the best it can be. It also teaches you how to adjust your swing for every type of pitch. Check it out

  4. Your best bet is probably to take as much batting practice as possible. 50+ swings if possible. That's what I did and it was very successful

If you cannot take B.P. then whenever you have time and some space (backyard, living room, etc), swing a bat as many times as you can. I mean swing it and imagine that you are really batting. Swing the bat like you mean it and which ever way you feel comfortable continue to swing that way and practice it. This would lead to a more consistent swing.

Hitting of a tee could be helpful but i do not recommend it from my experience. In my junior year of h.s. I hit off a tee until my hands bleed. But when i bat, i hit nothing but ground balls. In my senior year, i stayed away from the tee and just took many Batting practice and just swing the bat at home. That led to many HR's and high Avg.

    Good luck
