Ok, so I see how Conner's dad is bad, but what's up with Tony and Vanessa's dad? Can you tell me what is up with their dads?

Tony's dad left him and his mom when he was little to go live with another family which left Tony and his mom to do anything they could to get money and to survive. Then his dad decided he wanted to come and try to make it up to Tony so Tony has to try and forgive him to leaving .

Vanessa's dad is always is always gone because he is in the armed forces. When Vanessa's mom started getting "sick" he acted like he didn't want to deal with it and Vanessa started to realize she might have the same thing as her mom and was afraid her dad would treat her the same way. So to control her mind she would cut herself.
