Imran Khan to star in R. Balki’s next movie?
There are six strong candidates. The competition is fierce and the fight is on. Who will take the coveted prize of starring in R Balki’s next “masterpiece”?
As the critically acclaimed moviemaker gears up for his next project, let’s have a look at these aspiring superstars.
The first one on the list is the “Big Cat” that is definitely out of the bag now and would give others a definite run for their money. Clive Lloyd, who captained http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 to victories in the first two World Cups, is indeed a very strong contender. He
can easily uproot any competition there is.
Next in line is the local guy, the hero of the land. In a place where cricketers are worshipped he is a Demi-God. He is tall, dark and kind of handsome. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kapil-Dev-c70234 is a real hard worker too. He laboured his way to a record number of Test wickets. He has all
the makings of a star.
He would probably be more suited to south Indian cinema but that doesn’t mean he cannot make it big in Bollywood. Also Mr. Director has known him for some time so he has that personal thing going for him. But the question is would he be too convenient an
option?
The third candidate is the kind of person, who will be more suited to a method acting category of actors. Art cinema, perhaps? He is not as tall as the other guys, not very good looking but he knows his game. Allan Border, did stick out for a long time (a
bit too long!) and made his presence felt whenever he went out on the field to perform. He also got http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 its first World Cup trophy but then who hasn’t done that?
We can move on to the next person in this illustrious list. His biggest draw easily is that his name is Khan! In an industry where Pathans have always ruled the roost, Imran Khan, is bound to be a super star.
Plus he probably is the best looking in this lot. Actually he has a lot of other positives going for him. He is articulate, a ladies’ man, and knows when to step up his game. Maybe he can be the first politician to make a successful transition to an actor.
Wonder if anyone has tried to do that before?
A Sri Lankan actress named, Jacqueline Fernandez, recently made her entry into Bollywood. That will probably make the former skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Arjuna-Ranatunga-c45447 try his luck in the big bad world of Indian movies.
His unconventional looks give him quite an edge over the others. He may not be the complete package and definitely doesn’t have a six-pack but he can be a part of the unconventional talented lot. Arjuna can definitely make a name for himself in an industry
where Paresh Rawal and Nana Patekar have made successful careers. Everybody will agree that he can be very outstanding if he decides to sport a four inch heel!
At last we are down to the last man in the not so long list. The super cool and always calm, Steve Waugh, “the ice-man”. Just looking at him makes one think that he would make a perfect action hero.
His icy exterior and the no nonsense attitude he exudes would make him an instant hit with the masses. He is already quite popular in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 having done a lot of social work for the underprivileged. His reserved personality and intense eyes can make him the
next Ajay Devgan.
It seems that Balki will have a real tough time selecting one leading man from this illustrious collection of stars. None of the men listed above would go down without a fight and it will be rather interesting to see who he picks at the end.
He already has hinted his inclination towards the "ice-man" so he has to be the front runner in this race. So while the “Paa” director decides among the Papas' of cricket, we can all rest and make our own assumptions.
