Imran Tahir, the South African cricketer, has turned to his mentor, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abdul-Qadir-c41605, for help before the tour of England gets underway.
The Pakistan born leg-spinner, who later changed his allegiance to play for the Proteas, returned to his native country to seek Qadir’s advice. The 33-year-old received some tips from the former cricketer on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters after the training session with Qadir, Tahir said, “I will try my best to learn more and more from the master. Whatever I bowl was taught to me by Qadir who in his day was a master spinner and a role model
for youngsters.”
The Proteas are due to tour England during the month of July. South Africa will play three Tests, five ODI’s and three Twenty20 matches during their trip.
Stakes are high in the Test series, as the side that wins will gain the number one spot in International Cricket Council’s Test rankings. The English currently hold the spot while South Africa resides at number two.
The Poms struggled against spin earlier this year, when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abdur-Rehman-c41691, and Tahir will be looking to play a similar
role for South Africa.
The leg-spinner said, “I have my own skill and I will try my level best to get wickets for my team and I am learning to control my delivery which is a bit faster than the normal leg-breaks.”
Qadir, the former cricketer who has represented Pakistan in 67 Test matches, has shown complete faith in his protégé’s abilities. The 56-year-old believes that Tahir has in it him and will play a key role, if http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 are to

South Africa’s tour of England starts from July 19 with a Test match at the Kennington Oval, London.
