In 17 years the AFL has seen massive changes, what could the next 17 years provide?

We have seen The MCG totally rebuilt, Telstra dome and Telstra stadium evolve, while VFL Park was dismantled. New Clubs, Brisbane Lions, Port Adelaide,and Fremantle established Umpires in coloured clothing, many Rule changes, teams now with home and away uniforms. What possibly could be on the drawing boards to occur in the next 17 years ?

Teams to fold, merge and/or go interstate.

definitely a gold coast team and probably a darwin or 'northern' team....probably more players coming for overseas like all the irish players that are coming over...maybe possibly a new zealand team and definetely bigger development of grounds around the country like footy park and subiaco

i think barassi commented recently that he would like to see home and away matches played overseas in places like dubai and the US in the near future

I reckon a few more teams. Subi will be rebuilt or a better stadium in Perth. Many other ovals will get rebuilt/extended. And  th game may gain popularity overseas.

The AFL will get more females involved. All I want to do is look at the men because it is a man's sport. They have too many females involved. Let them play netball, hockey or whatever. Soon there will be women playing the game against the men.

some change of rule if theres a rule unfair or dangerous.

I don't know and i hate to think,but i'll bet money, what ever changes are made they'll be made out of greed and more money for he AFL-not in the best interests of the clubs.
