In 1967 any of the taking figures would have been what boys wanted for their collections.  In 1964 the four branches of the service (Army, Air Force, Navy & Marines) had all been introduced, enjoyed and been given a large collection of accessories.

And in 1967 there would have been an articulated female nurse, as Hasbro tried to introduce a female (nurse) figure to attach themselves to to the doll sales.  Sadly it didn't sell well so it's a highly sought collectible.

Snake eyes, the Reggae soldier and the other things mentioned came after 1980.
