In 2007 (I think) Fox News Extra had news on an Eye Exam using a computer to help provide precision glasses.?

I've been trying to contact Fox News several times but I guess they don't respond to Emails. Here in Spain the Eye Doctors only have three or four trays of lenses. The one I saw on TV had at least six. I have been trying to get some information using the internet but, nothing has turned up. I may have to come back to the States to get my eye fixed but I don't know where to go or who to see. I see the doc here and I get "Come back in a year" (Twice) now in 4 months with drops daily. I don't know what I have and I am afraid to drive.

  1. I wonder if what you saw was a story on auto refracters..which does spew out the prescription automatically.

But, if that was it...it is far from precise..many Dr's use it, but only as close estimate to start with and save some time before doing the exam the traditional way .

  2. the best thing to do is contact your local eye doctors. Here in the states, the eye doctors try to get as precise as possible and their advcanced computers allow them to do so. Go online and search around for where you would like to have your eye done.
