In's & Out's of Recruitment Consultancy...?

Question

Any recruitment consultants out there, or anyone know about the job role?

I've seen numerous job description and been previously asked for an interview, but im know considering the job role again...

So what do they do on a day to day basis?/

Also, is it a secure job? Worth leaving a secure Police role for (currently working as a HR Advisor)?? Just worried with how the market is... and the fact im starting a mortgage next month!

You have to be good at talking b/s to be a successful recruitment consultant.  Also, you will need all the patience you have with employers trying to fill the vacancies through your agency.  

In my opinion, you should remain with your current role because of the job security element of it and final salary pension!  You also have union backing should you be fired and so remain where you are until you get a really good offer and as secure  a position as you have at present.
