  1. Basically you need to ring the department in orange where they deal with people who cant pay their bills. Explain to them that there is no way you an afford to pay them in a lump sum, but can you come to some sort of arrangement to pay back as much as u can every month. When they realise how much you owe and that you can't afford it, they will usually cut your contract and as long as you demonstrate that you are paying it back often and a much as you cn then it will be fine. I know this because I had the same problem with them when I was 18, and I owed them just over £600, and they put a stop to my sim and my contract payments and just told me to keep in touch with them and keep them informed. Try and work out a payment thats not too little that will keep them off your back. Good luckl xx

  2. A contract is a contract. If Orange broke it you would be complaining.

Lesson for the future, don't sign contracts if you can't keep them

  3. Contact both providers and explain, you should be able to reduce the ariff for orange to a lower one, and as for the BT one, you should call them up and be put on to a budgeting plan.

  4. I would not use contracts, they are just designed to charge customers as much as they can possibly get away with.

If you have paid up front, they you may want your money back, but if it is Bank Direct debit, just Cancel the standing order with your bank.

The company can NO LONGER touch any funds in your bank account.

Secondly, Call Orange and ask for your PAC Code, also tell them you would like to stop the contract. This will enable you to move your number to another network. When they ask why you do no longer want it, mention that you have been experiencing technical problems with calling abroad, accepting overseas calls, and the signal is often weak. But, do not mention that you can't afford it.

Also, you must send the handset back, otherwise you are 'Stealing' their property, you do not own it if you break the contract.

I'm glad you're doing this, you have made the right decision and learnt about contracts.

    GDJ.

  5. You can only cancel the contract if its been over a year since you took it out - read the small print

  6. call them and ask for repayment plan. Also , stop talking on the phone.

  7. i think they will charge you a cancellation fee if you are still in the agreement period, you would have to look at you terms and conditions

  8. You can not cancel until the contract has finished its due (12 0r 18 months). I had the same thing. Be very careful about signing up for these things because they only want money and they will continue to add to this debt. You probably owe way less than that. Don't pay a dim, seek a good Lawyer because there are loopholes you can trap these companies in. Or change house, you know whatever
