  1. If you're talking about British/English 8 ball, and I assume you are since you mention reds and yellows, you get two shots only after a foul. It doesn't seem to matter if there are still colors on the table. But you don't specifically mention that a foul has occurred....

  2. Unlike snooker therre are not what you would call hard and fast rules for pool, many pool halls have their own rules. I have never liked the two visit rule when you only need the black to win, so I agree with my friends not to play it.

my advice is to check/agree whatever rules you want to play with your opponent before the game starts, I play an amalgamation of american and english 8 ball rules.

According to bapto there is no restriction to the two visit penalty

    Same for WPA rules

  3. If you have potted all of your balls,it doesn't matter whether your opponent has balls on the table or not.

If he/she fouls, you get two shots on the black.

This is at English 8 ball played to old e.p.a. rules or new e.p.a. rules (world rules).

  4. if you have cleared all of your balls from the table ,you are allowed (1) ONE shot at the cue ball, if you miss your oppent gets a chance to clear his balls off then a shot at the 8 ball. It continues until one of you sinks the 8 ball in the pocket he or she has called.

  5. no not in American 8 Ball but I think they play that way in other countries

  6. no matter waht ball your on if you miss its the other persons turn

  7. I have never played by any rules of 8 ball that allow you to shoot again without pocketing a ball, nor would I ever play that way.  BCA rules (which are world standardized rules) state that if an opponent fouls, you simply get ball in hand and can place the cue ball anywhere on the table.  Good luck, and keep rackn em up!

  8. no you dont
