  1. no... the cue ball 1st contact must be either one...

  3. good idea b4 the shot is taken is to, let the refree or opponite, to watch the shot. and you can almost always tell depending on the cueball path after contact. so if its gonna be close, study the cueball path that will be taken, if the object ball is hit 1st. No matter how close of call it is, you can dertime it if it is superclose, by the cueball path after contact

  4. The rule states you must always hit the lowest numbered ball first, so technically, yes, it is a foul. But, if you cannot tell which was hit first, which is always the case when you hit 2 at the same time, the benefit of the doubt automatically goes to the shooter, so a foul cannot be called.

  5. yes. in 9-ball you must always hit the lowest numbered ball first. hitting two balls at the exact same time is somewht questionable. i.e. what are the odds you didn't hit one or the other first?
