  1. You can refuse your AS level resit marks, just like modular ones, so you should have the choice between the two of which set of marks you want to 'cash in' for your qualification.


  2. if in your resit you do worse than the original exam then you keep the original exam result, if you do better than the original then you keep the new exam result

  3. When you aggregate (ask for your A level or AS level certificate to be issued), the board will calculate your final result. They will use the highest results that meet the rules of combination for the A level spec you take.  

    You can't 'decline' grades anymore, (new rule since Jan 2008) you just resit units and ask for a new aggregation.

    So the answer is they use the highest result for each unit - provided that resit unit fits the rules (maths, further maths etc is a bit more complicated).

  5. it is the one you do best in that thye count as your grade.

  6. you always get the higher grade no matter what. i had to resit one of mine and did worst and i got the higher grade
