Just curious as there is a complete set of crossing signals there yet I have never seen a train pass throug there. Also I am guessing that this line goes to Kirtland air force base? Is this the same track that passes under I 25 south of Rio Bravo and head on eastward? Is it ever used?

  1. The track is the BNSF Glorieta Subdivision and sees on average 6 trains/day which are 4 Railrunners and 2 Amtraks. This track extends from Albuquerque to Belen where it meets up with the BNSF transcon. On a rare day you might catch either a BNSF yard switcher or a baretable train headed for Raton for Storage. Amtraks SW Chiefs run between 1 (EB) and 6 (WB) depending on how late they might be running
