No, Tachibana isn't g*y. He's straight. Ono is g*y and did have a crush on Tachibana in high school, but the feelings were never returned, and are never returned. Tachibana is the only straight man ever who did not reciprocate Ono's affections. I've only read the manga, but in it the story doesn't really have to do with Tachibana's or any of the main characters' finding love, and it never says anything about him having a wife or love happily ever after. As for the anime, I haven't watched it. XD I didn't even know there was an anime! the manga are really great you should read them all. :)
