  1. They were second in gold medals behind the United States (they had 32, the US had 36). They were also far behind in total medals, third behind the US and Russia (US - 102, Russia - 92, China - 63).

  2. Nope the EU has had more medals than anyone else since 1988, usually twice the amount.

  3. At the Athens Olympics, China won 32 gold medals, beating Russia and giving it a world second ranking. The USA had 36 beating them by four.

Here is a good table with all of the medals from the 2004 olympics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Summer...

So far, China has 46 golds which means they have 14 more than last time.

  4. USA won with 36 gold, 102 total.

  5. Here was the medal count for USA and China in Athens. USA was 1st in total medals and gold medals but China was close behind in the gold medal count:

    1.United States (USA) 36 gold 39 silver 27 bronze 102 overall

    2 China (CHN) 32 gold 17 silver 14 bronze 63 overall

  6. yup... most gold for china
