In other words...i am editing an audio book and i chopped up practically every sentence so that is goes silent then clip, then silent etc...So now, i have a fade in and fade out but sentences that start with words that start with: M,B,G...stuff like that. Words with s,c,a,..soft constonants work well but how do i get rid of the stupid pop...i assume coming from the Noise floor at infinite to 0db instantly cause this, but i tried slow fades fast fades...what to do? HELP PLEASE ENGINEERS....

  1. try reducing the sound levels, it sounds like it just loaded in too hot.   I know in cool edit they have a pop/hiss silencer. . .  dont remember in pro tools.  Can you single out the pop and hard limit?
